The Colombia Programme started in October 2000 with a twofold objective: to raise awareness of Colombian peace building initiatives and to provide academic support for the existing peace building strategies in Colombia.

The programme´s team includes Kristian Herbolzheimer (coordinator), Dorys Ardila (international humanitarian law) and Fernando Hernández (negotiation processes).

Its main working areas are:
• Monitoring of daily news.
• Maintaining and expanding public documentation files.
• Production of a weekly newsletter, articles and dossiers.
• Liasing with Colombian and international social and institutional agents.
• Raising public awareness (by means of teaching resources, lectures, etc.)
• Promoting and participating in the Catalan Committee for Peace and Human Rights in Colombia.
